> From the WeatherWatch archives

Red eyes, sneezing, itchy throat nose or eyes – it seems many of you are still suffering from Autumn allergies as allergy season basically comes to an end.

The main culprit in Autumn is often grasses, dry from a long summer and now seeding. Windy weather lately puts more of this into the air which leads to allergies.

Just a fraction under half of those who voted, at 49%, said they are somewhat or badly affected by pollen right now.

However in Autumn it’s also easy to catch a small cold which can produce similar symptoms. But there’s definitely allergies at the moment across the country. The change to cooler weather should ease most sufferers symptoms in the coming weeks. We start all over again in as early as August as spring pollen starts to produce again.
