Poll Results: Give us a break from the rain, please!

> From the WeatherWatch archives

WeatherWatch.co.nz’s latest weekly poll results are in and one thing is quite clear: Most New Zealanders want a decent break from the rain.

Over 50% over those who responded said they want dry weather to last for over one month.

5% said they needed only a few days break from the rain and another 5% said more rain was needed. Southland is currently the only region in New Zealand that is drier than average.

For the most part we do have some good dry spells over the next 14 dys – but with a sub-tropical low likely to brush close to East Cape in a couple days and more systems in the Southern Ocean and Tasman Sea next week most may get rain again sooner than they’d like.
