We’ve had black ice, snow, flooding, slips, fog, severe thunderstorms, severe gales and huge seas – July has been a tough month for motorists, ferry passengers, air travellers and those just walking or biking.
With so many road closures, with so many flight cancellations, with ferry sailings cancelled it has been a nightmare winter month for many New Zealand travellers. Even some international travellers trying to get into the country have had problems with flight diversions and airports stopping all flights a number of times, including all of our international airports.
