Not an overly warm day up and down the country today with 25 being the maximum and the mid teens in Dunedin being the coolest centre.
Tonight temperatures remain pleasant in the north but a northerly in Wellington, a nor’ easter in Christchurch and an easterly in Dunedin is giving that cooling effect.
Apart from the upper North island, overnight temperatures are likely to be cool and possibly dropping to single figures in some central and eastern areas of the mainland.
Main centres ( as of 5pm)
Auckland 21
Tauranga 25
Hamilton 22
Wellington 19
Christchurch 19
Dunedin 16
