Low cloud that spread over the city during Sunday night dramatically cleared for a time on Monday morning (only to be replaced by another cloud sheet).
This cloud slowly moved as the west wind slowly gained speed. Taken at 9:52:AM looking over Rosebank Peninsula. Was quite impressive to look at. Uploaded by: Zelda Wynn
Like a wave this cloud looked as if it was breaking as it passed from W to E. Seen here at 9:56:AM over Rosebank Peninsula. Uploaded by: Zelda Wynn

Taken at around 8.45am. A beautifully clear sky apart from a great big slab of cloud from the north east of the horizon, right around to the east. Quite spectactular, but very difficult to get a good photo. Uploaded by: Glenys Flowerday.

This cloud reminds of the norwest arch you see in the eastern sides of the south island.

The top of this cloud looked like a wave ready to break. Looked spectacular stretching over Auckland from W to E.
Lovely to see the images above.

yes, I thought the weather was a little unusual yesterday – when it was cloudy, it was completely cloudy for hours, and when it was sunny, the sky was clear blue!
