Twin girls Charlotte and Amber Blackler (9) make the most of yesterday’s calm weather over Auckland by surfing on the safer than usual waves at Piha.
A light westerly wind, waves of one metre, clear blue skies and a near full moon helped create an enjoyable day at the beach says their father Andrew. Auckland also took the national high of 19 degrees on Sunday.
All in all not bad just 10 days out from winter!
