It’s not everyday you see an orca appear while you’re at the beach but these eight and nine year old swimmers had the rare experience while at the Omaha surf champs on Saturday.

According to photographer Kat Cooper they got a “bit of a surprise” in their last race of the day when the pod of Orcas swam up alongside them. “There were a few concerned faces when they came out to grab the boards for the next leg” she says.
