OZ – Big cities looking wet

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Post Easter weather isn’t looking the best for Australia’s three biggest cities.

Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are looking at a mixed bag with the northernmost city seeing the most rain.

Brisbane can expect showers or rain over the week and weekend ahead with temperatures in the mid to high twenties.

Sydney should have its warmest day today but tomorrow,Thursday and Friday is looking showery and considerably cooler.

Melbourne is quite the reverse with showers and chilly conditions today but by the end of the week the thermometer should be back into the high twenties.

Darwin saw heavy rain yesterday and for the first time in many years the total for the month could be closer to normal for the wet season rather than being well short.

Cold nights have arrived in Canberra and are expected to last for at least a week with overnight lows down to about five degrees.

Perth seems to have been the sunniest and driest centre with the week ahead also looking toasty.
Temperatures are expected to be in the low thirties with plenty of sunshine in he forecast.
