A large active cold front is moving across the Tasman Sea and will stretch from New Zealand to Australia this weekend.
The front will bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to Australia’s east coast while here in New Zealand rain, possibly heavy, will push into the South Island’s West Coast.
As the front heads north and east it will spillover into some parts of the lower South Island but may fall apart quite a bit as it heads northwards, especially towards the North Island.
