Upper North Island
Mostly cloudy with breezy to brisk southwesterly winds, there may be a shower or two about especially in the west. Sunny spells break through this afternoon about the Waikato, the Bay Of Plenty sees sunny spells for much of the day.
Lower North Island
Mostly cloudy with a shower or two possible, west to southwesterly winds. Areas of cloud and some sun about Wellington, south to southeasterly winds. Cloud develops this morning in the Wairarapa then spreads northwards during the afternoon as easterlies tend southerly, sun before cloud moves in.
Upper South Island
Mostly cloudy with south to southwesterly winds. Marlborough is mainly sunny then cloud thickens up after midday, Nelson sees sunny skies then some evening cloud. There may be a light drizzle patch or two about where skies are cloudy, generally mainly dry.
Lower South Island
A mix of sun and cloud for inland areas, mostly cloudy about Southland and Coastal Otago with a chance of a light shower this morning then some sun possible this afternoon.
