Looks like all this activity has been too much for the lightning detector. The combined one seems to have “thrown a wobbly” though the regional ones work- maybe it has been struck by lightning? 🙂 Grateful if you could get it fixed ASAP, the combined one is the best one for us to follow our local scene in Wellington

We missed out on all the action here in Whangarei, no heavy rain or thunder & lightning but I could see it all from our section as I was giving the dog her nightly patrol around garden about 9pm.
The sky was lighting up in various shades of blues from light to darker more ominous stuff. So I thought Auckland was copping it nicely.
We only had rain in the early part of the day then it all fined up mostly. None of the heavy stuff that was forecast as yet so that suits me fine.
Thanks to all those who submitted the excellent pics of the storms, really good to see them and what we missed out on, gladly I might add.
WW team, thanks for your work, enjoy visiting regularly.

What an impressive lightning performance last night and I have never seen hail that big either.
The pics are great.
