NEW POLL: How would you describe spring this year?

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Spring is almost always a changeable season, as we slowly transition away from winter weather and slide towards hotter, drier, summer conditions.

During Spring we usually get a few wintry days and a few summer like days – while the other 80% of the time is a mix of wind, sun, showers, cloud and average temperatures.

El Nino is certainly here – but it seems to impacting the South Island more than the North Island in our view, with wetter than average weather on the west and southern coastlines and drier than average inland and to the east.
Many parts of the North Island, we believe, are in a fairly average spring so far.
So with so much variety in weather and conditions around New Zealand, we wanted you to have a think about one word that sums up Spring 2015 so far.

We’ve selected a few likely answers – you can only chose one word so have a good think and place your vote!

If you have other single word suggestions for spring (er, words we *can* actually publish!) then please post in the comments below!
