We’re around the halfway mark of true spring weather and so far New Zealand has avoided some of the big stormy dramas of previous years, but for many it hasn’t been as sunny or dry either.
It’s been much warmer than average for some regions lately but in true spring style there will also be a cooling down period – for some anyway – this weekend.
Give Spring your grade – and feel free to post a comment on our website or social media about why you voted this way.
By the way – the general feedback WeatherWatch.co.nz is getting across our various platforms is that many farmers/growers are fairly happy but there are some pockets of both too wet (some in the west) and too dry. (some in the south and east). For many urban areas, mostly in the upper North Island, a bit more sun would be welcome. Many others are telling us spring conditions are ideal and it feels like an early summer…maybe.
Remember spring is changeable – and cold snaps can sometimes come out of no where! Votes close end of Saturday.
