Spring is in the air, at least to some degree, with numerous reports from people across New Zealand saying they are seeing signs of spring – and some of these signs are in the air.
Over the past week or so pollen has been detected in both main islands of the country.
With many people suffering allergies, pollen season can literally be a headache – and it seems to be kicking off earlier this year.

We have had pollen around for the past month first was our macrocarpa tree now the pines are starting I can even smell it

No pollen yet, but the daffodils in my garden are just about to flower. (Southland, south coast)

Definitely Pollen around as our car has been getting covered these past couple of weeks. Rather annoying as car is black but hey ho just have to wait it out and wash car more often..

Bloody pollen is annoying made my car all yellow no pollen around the area today but had to wash the car lol
