We have come to the end of winter, the meteorological end to the season is this Wednesday and we wanted to know how you found it weatherwise.
Was winter 2016 kind to you, tough to you – or just fairly average?
Both June and July were the warmest on record and August, while it had a polar blast at the start, also had some very warm weather.
Wintry conditions fade out in New Zealand properly around October – but an early spring pattern does look to be kicking in now.
The astonomical end to winter isn’t for another 3 weeks, this year the date is September 23rd.
