I also think that Culverden or Hanmer Springs should be added too. As these places dont usually get the bitterly cold NE winds of Christchurch or Kaikoura and usually get hottest in summer or coldest in winter.

Nice to see those extra towns. I think that Kawerau should be included because that quite often has the national high.
