Mostly dry Autumnal day

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Most of the country will be dry again today with temperatures near average for many of us.

The only showers forecast are possible in the far east of the country in the North island and the deep south may see a few splashes later in the day.

Temperatures this morning have been on the cool side and overnight 7 degrees was recorded in Paraparaumu, Dunedin and Timaru with just 5 in Manapouri and Lumsden.

Temperatures are now climbing but coolish breezes are likely along a few coastal areas, particularly in the South island.
