More of the same for Sunday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Strong high pressure out to our east will continue our streak of warm and dry weather.

The majority of the heat will be focused on the North Island tomorrow.  In fact, very few places on the North Island are like to stay in the low 20’s.  The warmest temperatures tomorrow, including a few low 30’s, are possible about Hawke’s Bay and along the western part of the island from Northland all the down to Wanganui.  Although coastal sections of Taranaki and the Kapiti coast and Wellington will like miss out on the hottest temps with highs in the low to 20’s.

The warmest South Island temperatures will be found about Marlborough with Blenheim possibly reaching the upper 20’s.  Otherwise, the rest of the Island will be in the upper teens to lower 20’s.

The only hint of precipitation tomorrow will be found where pretty much no one would see it anyway.  Fiordland may see a few late day showers.
