More calm, more sun for most – but rain in places – Your 3 day Weather Outlook

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We are still seeing the large high pressure system which has dominated conditions around New Zealand staying in place – but there is some weather variation on the way before the weekend.

Thursday and Friday see some frontal activity in the southwest of the South Island – particularly (you guessed it) Fiordland, which may see some heavy falls at times from Friday afternoon.

For the rest of the country, calm, clear, and occasionally cool conditions stay put – as temperatures could drop down to or near zero overnight and early in the next few mornings.
Of course, with those lows comes the risk of frosts – though it’s not looking like falling too far below the single digits yet, so any frosts will be fairly light, or for inland places, nothing you aren’t used to at this time of year.
