Fairly settled over the North Island today with a westerly airflow, mild temperatures out east. The South Island’s West Coast sees some rain, rain develops about Canterbury also with southerly quarter winds from afternoon.
Auckland & Northland
Sunny with some cloud, west to southwest winds.

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island
Mainly sunny with westerly winds, some cloud at times about the Waikato and Central North Island. Early fog possible about inland sheltered areas.
Highs: 18-21
Eastern North Island
Sunny with light winds, afternoon sea breezes near the coast. There is the chance of a few isolated afternoon showers about the ranges of Hawkes Bay and Gisborne in the afternoon.

Western North Island
Cloudy spells with northwesterly breezes, some morning drizzle clears about Kapiti and northern Taranaki then returns in the evening.

Wellington
Sunny spells with brisk northerly breezes, northerlies ease overnight with cloud thickening.

Nelson
Sunny with some increasing high cloud, northerly winds. Cloud thickens overnight.

Marlborough
Sunny with some high cloud from afternoon, northwesterly breezes ease in the evening. Cloud thickens overnight.

Canterbury
Thick high cloud this morning with light winds, southerlies develop in the afternoon with rain at first about the foothills then spreading to the coast by evening. Snow to 800m overnight.

West Coast
Periods of rain with northerly winds.

Coastal Otago
Cloudy with cool southwesterlies, a few morning showers then easing become few and far between. Showers more likely about North Otago from afternoon however.

Central Otago
A few morning showers then cloudy areas and some sun for the rest of the day, light westerlies at first tending southerly in the afternoon.

Southland & Central Otago
Cloudy spells with west to southwest winds, chance of the odd shower.
