Monday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

High pressure will build in off the Tasman today.  That will mean dry and settled weather for most of the country.

However, in the deep south of the South Island, a few showers are possible.  Invercargill and Queenstown should both see a few showers today.  Dunedin should remain dry.  Daytime high for these areas should be in the upper teens to around 20.

The rest of the South Island should see plenty of sunshine and highs around 20.

The North Island is looking about the same.  Look for plenty of sunshine.  A few clouds are expected to pop up during the late afternoon about Auckland.  But these should be harmless and no rain is expected.

Highs today across the North Island will be in the upper teens to lower 20’s.
