A front moves north over the South Island today weakening as goes. The North Island is looking fairly stable under a ridge of high pressure so settled weather can be expected there for most. Expect more warm temperatures out east today and rain on the West Coast of the South Island, possibly thundery this morning.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato, CNI & BOP
Mostly sunny with some cloud at times, mainly in the west. Expect west to southwesterly breezes.
Highs: 17-22

Eastern North Island
Sunny with light winds and warm temperatures, northwesterlies a little breezy about Wairarapa however with some high cloud there.
Highs: 22-24

Western North Island
Cloudy periods and the odd sunny spell, chance of a brief shower at times too otherwise mainly dry. West to northwest winds.
Highs: 19-20

Wellington
Cloudy periods with brisk to strong northerlies
High: 18-19

Nelson
High cloud with northwest breezes.
Highs: 21-22

Marlborough
Thick high cloud with gusty northwesterlies, high cloud decreasing during the afternoon.
Highs: 22-24

Canterbury
High cloud clearing to mostly sunny weather, northwest breezes ease.
Highs: 22-23

West Coast
Rain, possibly heavy and thundery then easing in the affternoon. Breezy westerlies.
High: 18

Southland & Otago
A period of early showers clear about Otago then expect mostly sunny weather with westerlies. Late afternoon or evening further showers move in especially about Southland and Central Otago.
Highs: 15-17

Ok, i see weatherwatch is doing a metservice… your forecast above for Wellington was a high of “18-19” but you changed your forecast max to 20 after the fact.
