Expect sea breezes in coastal areas and light winds inland, northeasterlies getting a little breezy about the Kaikoura coast and Christchurch in the afternoon.

Windiest – Southeasterlies about the tip of Northland and the tip of East Cape will be fairly brisk, likewise for the southern tip of Fiordland however the winds there will be northerly. In second, northeasterlies for Christchurch and Kaikoura in the afternoon.
Sunniest – Most places will be clear and sunny tomorrow.
Wettest – Gisborne in the morning.
