Upper South Island
Sunny in Nelson with light winds. Skies becoming cloudy on the West Coast north of the Glaciers in the morning with westerlies, the odd shower developing in the afternoon. Sunny and warm in Marlborough and Canterbury with light winds, some high cloud develops about Canterbury in the afternoon. Winds change southerly in the afternoon about southern Canterbury then southerly in North Canterbury in the evening bringing increasing cloud and drizzle overnight.
HIGHS: 18 on the West Coast, 22 in Nelson. 24-26 in Canterbury and Marlborough.

Lower South Island
Cloudy on the West Coast south of the Glaciers with rain and breezy northwesterlies. Rain may becoming heavy for a time then easing in the evening with a southwest change. High cloud in Otago with breezy northwesterlies in the morning, winds change southwest in the afternoon with cloud and a few showers which clear at night.
HIGHS: 17, low 20’s about North Otago and some inland areas.
