Upper North Island

Showers mostly clear this morning, a few sunny breaks then develop with southwesterly breezes.
HIGHS: 21-23 for most, perhaps a degree or two higher about Bay Of Plenty.

Lower North Island

Showers mostly clear this morning, a few sunny breaks then develop with westerly breezes. Winds more northwest about Wellington by mid afternoon. Conditions will be mostly dry about the Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay although there may be a brief early shower then becoming mostly sunny with westerlies easing.
HIGHS: 18-19 for most. Mid 20’s about Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay however.

Upper South Island

Showers clear on the West Coast this morning, a few sunny areas after midday with west to southwest breezes. Mostly sunny in Nelson with light southwesterlies. Expect mostly sunny weather in Canterbury and Marlborough also with east to northeast breezes developing in the afternoon.
HIGHS: 18 on the West Coast, 21-22 in Nelson. High teens or low 20’s on the east coast.

Lower South Island

Morning showers clear for most with sunny areas then increasing, becoming sunny in inland Otago by mid morning. Some cloud may remain about Fiordland. Cool southwesterly breezes ease dying out by evening about Southland and Otago.
HIGHS: 16-17 for most, low 20’s about inland areas, 15-16 on the West Coast south of the Glaciers.
