A weak southerly change peters out over the North Island as another big high starts to roll back in. More settled weather on the way this week with isolated downpours in the north and mainly dry elsewhere.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

A mix of sun and cloud with light winds or sea breezes. Might be a shower in the Far North and in the afternoon cloud build-ups put Waikato and western BOP at risk of a downpour.
Highs: 23-27

 
Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mainly Sunny but clouds developing in some areas with light winds or sea breezes. Might be a shower in the afternoon as cloud build-ups form mainly Taranaki to Waikato.
Highs: 23-26

 

Eastern North Island

A bit cloudy with hit and miss showers. Light winds, mainly drifting from the south.
Highs: 22-26

 

Wellington

Fairly sunny with winds from the south to south east.
High: 19 to 22

 

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny and settled.
High: 22 or  23

 

Canterbury

Mainly sunny today with winds light, or from the north east in more coastal areas.
Highs: 19 – 24

 

West Coast

Mostly Sunny and mild with light winds.
Highs: 23

Southland & Otago

Mostly Sunny with light winds or light westerly quarter winds.
Highs: 17 coastal to 24 inland.
