Upper North Island

Mostly cloudy about Northland and Auckland, sunny spells this morning about the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty then cloud builds in the afternoon. Chance of an isolated shower mainly late afternoon / evening for inland areas. Southwesterly winds for most, afternoon northerlies about the Bay Of Plenty.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny with cloud more frequent after midday, light winds tending onshore in the afternoon.

Upper South Island

Cloudy areas in the west, some sun possible more so later in the day with southwesterly winds. Nelson sees a mix of sun and cloud with light northerlies. Mostly sunny in the east with east to northeast breezes freshening this afternoon.

Lower South Island

Sunny areas and some high cloud, northwesterlies tend onshore for most in the afternoon.
