Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Sunny spells, chance of the odd shower too. Conditions may remain dry for much of the day about eastern Northland and the Bay Of Plenty. Brisk west to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 17-20

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Cloudy areas and the odd shower, mainly morning. Brisk to strong westerly winds.
Highs: 16-17

Eastern North Island

Mainly sunny with gusty Westerly winds, easing in the evening.
Highs: 21-23

Wellington

Mostly sunny with gusty west to northwesterly winds.
High: 17

Marlborough & Nelson

Mainly sunny with breezy west to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 18-21

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with westerly winds dying away late afternoon / evening.
Highs: 19-20

West Coast

Showers with gusty west to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 14-15

Southland & Otago

Mostly cloudy with a few showers, coastal Otago has longer dry spells then Southland with more frequent shower activity. Parts of Central Otago may stay fairly dry for much of the day. Strong west to southwesterly winds gale at times about the coast easing later in the day.
