Sunny spells with breezy southwesterly winds, cloud less frequent in the afternoon. The Bay Of Plenty and Waikato has a mainly sunny day.
Highs: 19-22

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly sunny with breezy westerly winds, any morning cloud clears.
Highs: 18-20

Eastern North Island

Sunny with light winds, afternoon easterlies for Hawkes Bay and Gisborne. Warmest afternoon temperatures inland away from the coast.
Highs: 21-24

Wellington

Sunny with northerly winds.
High: 19

Marlborough & Nelson

A mainly sunny day, southwesterly breezes. Afternoon northwesterlies for Marlborough
Highs: 22-26

Canterbury

Sunny with warm northwesterly breezes, evening southerly for a time.

West Coast

Mostly cloudy with the odd shower, some rain about Fiordland. All easing from afternoon. West to southwesterly winds.

Southland & Otago

Cloudy areas, showers this morning about Southland then easing by midday. Otago is mainly dry in the morning then a shower or two possible afternoon / evening otherwise fairly dry. Strong / gusty westerlies tend a little more southwest after midday.
