Mostly sunny about the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty then some cloud builds a little this afternoon with the chance of an isolated shower. Southwesterly winds for most may tend northerly in the afternoon about the Bay Of Plenty.

Cloud breaks to sunny areas this afternoon, mostly sunny about Taranaki from morning. Southerly winds.

Eastern North Island
Mostly cloudy with south to southwesterly winds, chance of a light shower or two otherwise mainly dry.
Cloud breaks to sunny spells in the afternoon, southerly winds.

Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly cloudy with the odd shower possible, showers more likely about Nelson. Light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon.
Drizzle patches ease then becoming drier in the afternoon, light winds.
Mostly sunny with light winds. There may be a few showers about Buller especially afternoon / early evening.
