A low and front bring some rain to the west of the South Island this morning then clears in the afternoon. Generally settled elsewhere although expect some cloud.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly cloudy although expect occasional sun at times, with sun more frequent about the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty. Northland may see a shower later in the day. Light winds.
Highs: 14-16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Areas of cloud and some sun. Light northwesterly winds change to the southeast overnight.
Highs: 13-15

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with some high cloud, light winds.
Highs: 15-16

Wellington

Sunny spells, northwesterly winds change southerly later the evening.
High: 14

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny, winds change southwest late afternoon bringing some cloud and the chance of a shower.
Highs: 13-16

Canterbury

Some morning sun, then a southwest change late morning brings cloudy areas and the chance of a shower, otherwise remaining fairly dry.
High: 13

West Coast

Areas of rain or showers, clearing this afternoon and sunny spells increasing as northeasterly winds change southwest.
Highs: 12

Southland & Otago

Risk of an early shower, then clearing, perhaps some sun breaking through. A few further showers late afternoon about Southland with a westerly change.
Highs: 10-13
