Somewhat settled today as we have a slight ridge of high pressure, still a southwesterly airflow continues to blow through and there may be a few clearing showers for the North Island this morning.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

There may be an early shower otherwise mostly sunny with a few clouds, the Bay Of Plenty is mainly sunny. Southwesterly breezes.
Highs: 14-16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Any early showers clear otherwise mostly sunny with light westerlies from midday. Taranaki sees some cloud at times for much of the day, still sunny areas also, winds from the southwest.
Highs: 11-15

Eastern North Island

Early showers clear then becoming mostly sunny by midday, showers not clearing Gisborne till this afternoon then some sun breaking through. Cool southwesterly winds die out by evening.
Highs: 13-14

Wellington

Becoming mostly sunny this morning, northwesterly winds from afternoon.
High: 13

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with light winds, tending southwest.
Highs: 13

Canterbury

A mainly sunny day with light winds, tending northwest inland.
Highs: 13

West Coast

Sunny areas with light winds, a few showers for South Westland, especially Fiordland. Cloud thickening up for most by evening.
Highs: 9-11

Southland & Otago

Mostly cloudy about Southland with the odd shower, mostly clearing this afternoon. Otago is mainly sunny although there may be some cloud and the chance of a shower west of the Queenstown lakes area and there may be some early cloud for Coastal Otago. Breezy west to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 11-14
