Monday starts with big frosts for some

As the weekend’s front leaves and the next one arrives New Zealand is in a 24 to 36 hour window for frost making in some places – and this morning that’s just we’ve seen.

While prefrontal cloud and strong nor’easters affecting northern parts of Northand huge frosts, well into the negative digits, spread from Taupo to Southland.

Temperatures range from 14 degrees in the north to -6 in the south.

Taupo, -5

Hawera, -3

Wanganui, -1

Levin, Paraparaumu, -3

Lower Hutt, -2

Wellington city, 1

Wanaka, Queenstown, -4

Lumsdem, -6

Invercargill, -1

6.2 deg light NE, partly cloudy..not a frost in sight 🙂
