A ridge lies over the North Island tonight keeping conditions fairly settled although fog patches may well return overnight north of about the Central North Island, northerlies about Wellington will be breezy. In the South Island a northwesterly airflow remains in place, mainly clear skies in the east, some drizzle or rain out west.

Auckland & Northland
Clear spells this evening, some fog returning overnight with light winds. Skies may remain clearer about Northland.
Low tonight: 7-9

Bay Of Plenty
Cloudy areas tonight with light winds.
Low tonight: 7

Central North Island & Waikato
Clear spells this evening however fog patches move in again during the night. Light winds.
Lows tonight: 2-6

Eastern North Island
Mainly clear skies tonight with light winds tending northerly.
Lows tonight: 4-5

Western North Island
Cloudy periods, some areas sea clear spells. Northerlies.
Low tonight: 8-10

Wellington
Cloudy periods with brisk northerly winds.
Low tonight: 10

Nelson
Mostly cloudy skies, showers move in overnight. Northerlies.
Low tonight: 9

Marlborough
Clear to start however high cloud moves in this evening, a few spots of rain possible towards dawn tomorrow. North to northwesterly winds.
Low tonight: 8

Canterbury
Skies becoming mainly clear this evening then remaining fairly clear overnight. Light north to northeasterly winds.
Lows tonight: 6-7

West Coast
Some rain north of about Greymouth with northerlies, dizzle further south with northeasterlies.
Lows tonight: 8-9

Southland & Otago
Mainly clear skies tonight with light northerly quarter winds.
Low tonight: 2-5
