Moisture inches closer

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Sunday and Monday continue to look damp and breezy for most of the country as an approaching low bears down on the upper North Island today.

Blue skies have greeted much of the central and southern parts of the country however cloud is thickening in some places and is likely to do so throughout the day especially in northern regions.

The rand band associated with this low is edging its way here and many parts of Northland and Auckland are likely to see the wet stuff before midnight tonight.

Those damp and windy conditions are expected to spread south over much of the country tomorrow
