Merry Christmas from Weather Watch!

A big Merry Christmas to you all today from everyone at the Weather Watch Centre.

We hope you have a fantastic day – and here’s a sneak peak at tomorrow’s weather and the basic weekend forecast.

Boxing Day:

Warmer, sunnier, conditions will be in store for most of our biggest tourist spots. There’s the possibility for some cloud build ups on Friday, especially in the west…and a slight risk of an isolated shower. Overall, it’s looking to be another good day.

Saturday & Sunday:

The remainder of the weekend looks mainly sunny and settled too – except for the lower part of the South Island where clouds and showers are possible due to fronts passing through the Southern Ocean.

Our opinion on the best holiday weather this long weekend:

Bay of Islands, eastern parts of Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Napier, Neslon and Blenheim.  Conditions should be mainly warm and sunny.
