A relatively settled weekend is expected for much of the country but the west and south of the South Island could see rather unsettled conditions at times.
Westland and Fiordland have some heavy rain on the cards and a few showers are possible in the far south, as a southerly change makes it’s way across the region later today however for the rest of the country, it should be mostly dry with plenty of sunshine, particularly in eastern areas and quite warm in sheltered places as well.
The weather is looking more unsettled for the west of the nation on Monday and Tuesday as winds pick up and cloud and rain develop but out east, the skies should be mostly dry and warm with windy conditions expected.
