Windy weather in the upper North Island will ease further today but other areas further down the island may be a little windier. Overall the worst of the northern winds have peaked from the past few days.
Patchy rain continues to spread southwards over parts of the North Island but the front falls apart today, leaving only showers and drizzle patches for many.
The West Coast also sees a little wet weather today, with a few showers or patchy rain in the Tasman/Nelson area and also at the other end of the island in Southland, mainly coastal areas.
Most of NZ is warmer than average today – and for the days ahead.
Eastern NZ is the driest today – especially Canterbury to Hawke’s Bay.
