> From the WeatherWatch archives

A big low in the Tasman is bringing an unsettled weekend for many across New Zealand, here are a few areas to keep an eye on that may have the potential to cause issues.

Northwest Nelson / Tasman – Rain feeding into this area during the day will heavy.

Bay Of Plenty – As rain feeds into this area once again heavy rain may result, not looking overly bad compared to what the Bay Of Plenty has had in the past but still something to watch.

Northland through to Manawatu in the west – Taranaki may start to see heavy falls from early afternoon then spreading to other western areas late afternoon / evening. These showers may contain thunderstorms also then easing overnight.

Canterbury – While not heavy as such rain for Canterbury will be fairly persistent across the day especially for inland areas.
