An anticyclone continues to cover New Zealand today through to Friday, watch once again for inland downpours / thunderstorms during the afternoons and evenings.
Wednesday
Blue – Heavy downpours developing for inland areas of both islands this afternoon / evening, some may contain thunderstorms and perhaps a risk of hail.
Yellow – High’s reaching into the low 20’s across many parts of New Zealand, perhaps the mid twenties for some areas as marked in yellow below.
Thursday
Blue – Heavy downpours developing for inland areas of both islands in the afternoon / evening, some may contain thunderstorms and perhaps a risk of hail.
Yellow – High’s reaching into the low 20’s across many parts of New Zealand, perhaps the mid twenties for some areas.
Friday
Blue – Isolated showers developing for inland areas of both islands in the afternoon / evening, some may contain thunderstorms and perhaps a risk of hail although the risk is starting to drop a little by Friday compared to Wednesday and Thursday. The inner North Island has the highest risk.
Yellow – High’s reaching into the low 20’s across many parts of New Zealand, perhaps the mid to even late twenties for some areas.
