A front weakens as it moves northwards over the South Island on Wednesday while the North Island has mainly settled conditions and a ridge of high pressure. Mostly high pressure covering New Zealand on Thursday and Friday.

Wednesday

Blue – Some morning rain about South Westland may be heavy, it will quickly ease.

Yellow – Afternoon high’s in the mid to late 20’s for the areas marked below.

Thursday

Yellow – Afternoon high’s in the mid to late 20’s for parts of the North Island. Only perhaps just reaching into the mid 20’s for Central Otago / inland Southland.

Friday

Yellow – Temperatures in reaching into the mid 20’s for the areas marked below.
