A high is centred in the Tasman Sea today while a westerly airflow lies over New Zealand, the airflow tends more southwest on Tuesday. A weak low is situated over central NZ on Wednesday.
Monday
Yellow – High’s reaching into the mid 20’s for some eastern parts of New Zealand today.
Purple – Gusty northwesterlies through Cook Strait ease this morning. Winds about coastal Southland are strong from the west this afternoon.
Tuesday
Yellow – Afternoon high’s reaching into the mid 20’s for the Bay Of Plenty..
A fairly cloudy day for the east of the South Island, there may be some morning sun Banks Peninsula northwards then cloud increases from afternoon.
Wednesday
Yellow – High’s reaching into the mid 20’s for a few eastern parts of New Zealand during the afternoon.
Blue – A cold start for the lower South Island, temperatures around dawn on Wednesday may start in the early single figure range.
