A northeasterly airflow lies over New Zealand today, tending more northerly on Tuesday as a front approaches the southwest of the South Island during the day. This front slowly moves northwards over the South Island on Wednesday however it does weaken, a ridge lies over the North Island.
Monday
Yellow – Temperatures reaching into the mid to late 20’s for the South Island today, mid 20’s for the North Island.
Tuesday
Blue – Rain becomes heavy about Fiordland from evening, moving a little further northwards overnight.
Yellow – High’s in the late 20’s and early 30’s for the South Island on Tuesday. Mid 20’s for the North Island in the afternoon.
Wednesday
Yellow – Afternoon high’s in the mid 20’s for the areas marked in yellow below.
