Anticyclonic conditions today with a cold southwesterly airflow over New Zealand especially in the east, easing away. Mainly calm and settled on Saturdayand Sunday with anticyclonic conditions.
Friday
Blue – A cold start about the inner South and North Islands, sitting around -1 to +1 degrees celsius around dawn.
Purple – Brisk to strong south to southwesterly winds about eastern coastal areas ease during the day.
Saturday and Sunday
Blue – Mainly settled meaning a cold start of around -1 to +1 degrees celcius for most inland.
