Weak high pressure surrounds New Zealand today, a weakening front moves over the lower South Island during Saturday while high pressure covers the rest of the country. High pressure covers much New Zealand on Sunday.
Friday
Blue – Isolated showers form this afternoon anywhere from south Auckland through to East Cape, a chance one or two may be heavy. East Cape in particular may see a thunderstorm or two then easing in the evening.
Saturday
No highlights.
Sunday
Blue – A few isolated showers during the afternoon about the upper South Island and inland parts of the eastern North Island.
There may be a fog patch or two to start the day about the upper North Island.
