Northland has showers or some rain for much of the day. Mostly cloudy about Auckland, chance of a shower or two otherwise mainly dry. Sunny areas and some high cloud about the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty. Freshening easterly winds.
Any morning low level cloud or fog clears about the lower North Island in the west then mainly sunny with some high cloud, light winds.
Morning low cloud or fog breaks to sunny spells along the East Coast, there may be some morning drizzle about Gisborne also. Light east to northeasterly winds.
Sunny with light northerlies developing in the morning about Wellington.
Any early cloud clears about Nelson and Marlborough then mainly sunny with light winds.
Mainly sunny about Canterbury, Otago and Southland with light winds.
Morning cloud for the West Coast, chance of a drizzle patch also about North Westland then afternoon sunny spells. Light winds.
Blue – Heavy form of precipitation or cold temperatures, typically below 1 to 2 degrees celsius.
Purple – Strong winds.
Yellow – Temperatures around the mid 20 degree mark or over.
