A southeasterly airflow affects most of New Zealand on Tuesday, a front within this flow brings some heavy rain for many North Island regions.
Much of the North Island is cloudy on Tuesday however Northland and perhaps Auckland may see some sun at times, showers are likely too. A majority of the lower North Island sees areas of rain with heavy falls at times especially about Taranaki and the Manawatu, also the east coast and perhaps the Coromandel.
Expect a strong southeasterly airflow for much of the North Island. Afternoon high’s just cracking into the mid 20’s about Northland during the afternoon.
The South Island is a tale of two halves, cloudy in the east with showers or drizzle. The West Coast has great weather with high’s getting into the low 20’s, some high cloud for North Westland.
A mix of sun and cloud about Southland and inland Otago.
Blue – Heavy form of precipitation.
Purple – Strong winds.
Yellow – Temperatures around the mid 20 degree mark or over.
