A fairly short situation and forecast for New Zealand on Friday due to an anticyclone.
Mainly settled conditions for the South and North Islands on Friday, just a few clearing morning showers for Northland and the east coast of the North Island. Sunny spells then increase.
A chance of morning cloud about Auckland then mainly sunny.
The South Island is mainly sunny, cloud builds about South Westland from late afternoon then later in the evening showers move into Fiordland.
Winds are light for most tending onshore in the afternoon. Southerlies a little breezy about Hawkes Bay and Gisborne ease during the afternoon.
