A front pushes eastwards over the country on Wednesday, slowly pushing northwards during the day also.

Sunny spells for the upper North Island on Wednesday, there may be an isolated shower or two also then overnight expect a period of rain. Dry along the east coast with some high cloud, the lower western North Island sees the risk of a shower then evening rain.

Heavy rain about South Westland pushes into North Westland during the afternoon. Thick high cloud out east, mainly dry.
