A southwesterly airflow lies over New Zealand today, moving around a large high centred in the Tasman Sea. The flow tends more westerly on Wednesday.

Chance of a shower at times for the western North Island today, it will more then likely be drier than it is wet. Mainly sunny conditions for eastern New Zealand, the West Coast of the South Island is fairly cloudy.

Not much changes on Wednesday, expect some rain about South Westland however then easing from afternoon. Warm conditions for Canterbury, Marlborough, Hawkes Bay and Gisborne with temperatures reaching into the high teens.
